Ensuring Your AEDs Work when Needed
Routine maintenance on all your AED units is a requirement in all 50 states and ensures compliance under the Good Samaritan laws. Whether you have a handful of units or hundreds deployed over several locations, it is vital that your AED units are routinely inspected and ready for operation.
PlusTracâ„¢ requires monthly inspections and maintenance be performed by the 28th of each month. If this monthly maintenance is not performed, electronic notifications (e-minders) are sent to the local site administrator, informing them of each AED device that must be properly maintained. If this situation is not rectified, the escalating reporting system will notify the appropriate personnel, including the overall program administrator.
This escalating reporting system provides the checks and balances to ensure your program remains compliant as well as provides accountability for your entire AED Program.
